Rerailing Simulator

The rerailing simulator is a tool that is created for Holmatro. It showcases their rerailing tool that is used to put trains back on the rails if there has been a derailment. This way they can both showcase their product, and sell the product as a training tool for their customers.

What I learned

Making the rerailing simulator was a unique experience as it needed to be finished before the Innotrans event which is very important for Holmatro. I only had about 3 weeks to do most of the work and this was about 200 hours of work so I had to work day and night in order to finish the product. In the end it turned out very well and customers were enthousiastic which was a relief as I had no time to test the product with other users.

• Have a deadline which is borderline unrealistic and make a very good short term planning in order to get it done.
• Use Unreal 5 to create a realistic simulation of a real life product.
